			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since moving to a tropical climate, I noticed something interesting: I&#8217;ve developed an appetite for raw garlic. I&#8217;ve always enjoyed garlic in my raw food and have used it medicinally to cure an ear infection. However, living in Bali I&#8217;m eating some raw garlic at least twice a week.</p>
<p>I was curious about why we developed this desire so unexpected that I did some research and discovered that raw garlic has powerful medicinal properties with major health benefits.</p>
<p>Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is part of the lily family and it&#8217;s medicinal use dates back to 4000 BC. Grows well in almost any climate, it is known throughout the world. Hippocrates, the founder of western medicine, used garlic in some cancer treatments. In ancient Egypt garlic was valued as a general health tonic and sometimes even used as currency. Later in the Middle Ages, garlic was used in the treatment of victims of the plate. Even as late as World War II, garlic was used as an effective substitute for antibiotics.</p>
<p><strong>The medicinal properties of garlic</strong></p>
<p>Garlic is high in sulfur, which accounts for some of its medicinal power. The stronger the taste of garlic, the higher the sulfur content and is best for you. Two other potent medicinal compounds in garlic is diallyl sulfides, which increase blood circulation and Allicin, an anti-biotic, anti-fungal compounds.</p>
<p><strong>Generally speaking, raw garlic is: </strong></p>
<p>A broad spectrum anti-biotic</p>
<p>Very anti-fungal</p>
<p>Very anti-bacterial</p>
<p>Very anti-parasitic</p>
<p>High in antioxidants</p>
<p>And the main health benefits of garlic are:</p>
<p><strong>1.</strong> Increases blood circulation and thins the blood &#8211; this can lower blood pressure, reduce the likelihood of blood clots and reduce the <a href="http://www.eckee.com/" target="_self"><strong>Risk of Heart Attack</strong></a> and stroke</p>
<p><strong>2. </strong>Suppresses tumor growth</p>
<p><strong>3. </strong>Decreases levels of LDL or &#8220;bad cholesterol&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>4. </strong>Stimulates the immune system by increasing cell</p>
<p><strong>5. </strong>Supports recovery from cancer</p>
<p><strong>6. </strong>Kills some intestinal parasites &#8211; this may be related to its potency in the treatment of cancer, as some naturopaths consider intestinal parasites to be directly linked to cancer</p>
<p><strong>7. </strong>Repels insects &#8211; some of the sulfur in garlic oil passes into the blood and carried to the skin where it is excreted. This helps the skin unattractive to insects</p>
<p><strong>8. </strong>Calm coughs and colds &#8211; this is because the properties of garlic antibiotics</p>
<p><strong>9. </strong>Kills fungi such as athletes foot and warts</p>
<p>Importantly, these <a href="http://www.eckee.com/" target="_self"><strong>Health Benefits</strong></a> only apply to the use of raw garlic. The active compounds in garlic are destroyed by cooking. Were also lost in time. Crushing or cutting its emissions of raw garlic medicinally potent compounds, which are sensitive to oxidation. It is best to eat fresh raw garlic soon after grinding or cutting to get the most benefit.</p>
<p><strong>Using raw garlic </strong></p>
<p>Internally &#8211; take 1 to 2 cloves or crushed raw garlic every two days. Sometimes I nail one right in my face with olive oil or avocado and chew it up (to avoid burning). Also mixed in raw soups, use in guacamole or sprinkle on top of my salad. You can eat raw parsley afterwards to sweeten your breath.</p>
<p>Skin &#8211; make a poultice with raw garlic for use on skin infections like athletes foot or warts. Be careful not to irritate the skin by using too much.</p>
<p>As a tincture &#8211; you can use garlic oil drops in the nose, as a gargle or in the ears to combat the infection. Make garlic oil drops by mixing one clove garlic, crushed 10 ml (4 oz) of pure water.</p>
<p>Garlic is generally very safe, but in some people and in high doses can cause stomach irritation and skin. Also people who are on any blood thinning medication taking garlic medicinally without first talking to your doctor. Garlic should be used very sparingly with small children.</p>

Foods that can help detoxify the liver are the cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower), brightly colored fruits and vegetables (tomatoes, apricots, peppers, strawberries), sulfur-containing foods (onions, garlic ) and lemons</p>

There are two main <a href="http://www.eckee.com/"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Types of Asthma</span></a>. Sometimes symptoms of asthma that resemble, but not really qualify for the full blown disease. This brings us to the need to thoroughly understand asthma as a disease so that proper prevention and cure can be practiced.</p>
<p>Asthma is generally classified in to two general types. These are the types of bronchial asthma and the categorization is based on the simple criterion of the main factors causing the disease. These two types are:</p>
<p>Extrinsic asthma: extrinsic asthma is classified as a form of asthma that develops when people are likely to exposed to an environment which contains various allergens. In general these people show no symptoms and appear to be perfectly healthy, but with exposure to an allergen that has the potential to develop these symptoms which may develop asthma symptoms very quickly.</p>
<p>The symptoms manifest themselves therefore, can vary from mild to chronic depending on the body&#8217;s reaction to the allergen. People who tend to develop asthma in this way show a tendency to allergies and other infections, and eczema. If the test is that these people usually have allergic reactions to one or more allergens. These allergens can be of any type. They can be food allergens or dust or animal dander or smoke pollutants or otherwise.</p>
<p>It is important to understand that people are prone to this type of asthma may have been suffering from mild to severe recurrent episodes of chills, coughing and sneezing repeatedly. This generally occurs because the airways are weakened with each episode of this kind since the cold and the person is already prone to allergies, the chances of your system in contact with asthma become very high. This is also a type of asthma is very common in the younger stages in life, especially in younger children who are exposed to air pollutants lot.</p>
<p>In the Third World the situation is very grim for patients that show trends in extrinsic asthma. This is because the laws controlling the effects of pollutants from factories and development of different points of sales are very poor and most of the time it is constantly flouted. Therefore, the tendency of extrinsic asthma can be truly called a living or development of disease.</p>

<p><strong>Reduce stress </strong><br />
This is probably the best documented and most self-explanatory of all the benefits of meditation. Stress damages the body in countless ways. Meditation, even a bit of regular meditation, has proven time and again to reduce stress.</p>
<p><strong>Decreases anger </strong><br />
Anger is undoubtedly an unpleasant feeling to carry around, and now scientists are beginning to really focus on the link between anger and ill health. Just as stress erodes the body&#8217;s systems, so does anger. Stress and anger may be different emotions arising from different factors, but its negative effect on the body is quite similar.
